Affection for Friends

I believe that you should never be afraid to show affection for friends, life is too short not too, and you never know how long your life span may be. I am old enough and wise enough to know this. Just because some of my friends are internet friends doesn't mean that I can't say I love you, there are all kinds of love.

Some friends I have gotten to know very well and have become very close with, others I have known for a short while. Whether it’s one day or a year what difference does it make? I have been mocked and treated like a child by people who think that I am young because I am so open with my affection. I have people who are insecure implying something’s wrong with me because I tell my male and female friends that I love them. I think that this is sad, and truly feel sorry for people who can’t express their feelings openly, and so they feel the need to mock others. It is they that are missing out. I hope that one day they can express their feelings openly so they can receive the love and kindness that I have. No matter what others think, follow your heart.

So as for my internet friends, I am honored, grateful and blessed to know them and I am proud to call them friends. How blessed we are to be of a day and age where we have the internet to broaden our scope of friends. Life isn’t easy for anyone and can be very traumatizing too so live for each moment and appreciate what, and who you have in your life. Be grateful, caring, kind and compassionate with one another, and with yourself. You will be remembered for what you do and not what you say, or have, so make the best of it.
